I had shingles but my mother swears i never had chickin pox and you would'nt believe what a doctor told me

she said i had an STD i got it from my girlfriend, she got it from someone she had with and i could get cancer and die from it. Was i trippin? you know it. thank god for the internet. Question is how could i have shingles if i never had chickin pox.
