Moving to Colorado...best area for me?

My husband's family lives in the cripple creek/guffey area. Mountains everywhere and your neighbor is miles away in Guffey. His aunt lives in the Florence/Canon city and it's a pretty nice area too. I've been a couple times and love it there. Denver seems crowded driving down from the airport but once you get an hour or so south it's sparsely populated.
