I need help opening a torrent file?

ok, im soooo not good with this stuff so please help... lol. im trying to download a game fromm a torrent site, when i try to open the file it says in order to open thi file windows needs to know what program created it... then give me the option to search online or choose from a lit. when i search online it doent find anything, and i dont want to mess it up by choosing sumthing from the list. so any advice?
