Alright, so I am a 22 year old recent college graduate...and looking for work.?

I have a job with my family at our restaurant making approx. $28,000 gross pay (40-50hrs weekly). I am curious what I am missing out on? Could I be doing better...really? I hear all these people saying graduates make around 30-40k a year. I do not see jobs like this lining up around here...where is best to look? I live in upstate New York to clarify any questions with my monetary needs. I have a AAS in Marketing and a BBA with a minor in Financial Services. Am I missing something....or am I just the only one not seeing these paying jobs when I search in NY? All help will be GREATLY appreciated!
