Observable effects of lamictal? ?

I was prescribed earlier this year... I take Lexapro and seroquel, but not on a regular basis, i take on an as needed basis (that's the best I can do right now). My psych wants to keep me on lamictal, but I have never seen its effects, and if it is even benefiting me. Is it maybe cloaked by the effects of the other meds? I just dont want to put in more than is necessary.
