I'm driving 500 miles on a road trip. How much will I spend on gas?

I live in upstate ny. I'm driving to nj. Mapquest said it would be 350.9 miles. So i just round it up to 500 to be on the safe side. I drive a 97 honda civic. Gas is now 4.00....so much would i need?
