Digital Piano zzzzzz?

I have a Yamaha Clavinova that looks like your description. It has an adjustable action so I can make it feel like a stiff action grand piano. It was more expensive that what you want but if you check out local music stores you might find one used. Check out the music stores anyway, sound and feel cannot be demonstrated on the web. Check this site for models and then see what you can find. These pianos can be had for less if they are used. Look at the new price and try to find a used one for 25% of the original price.
