Can you make a hand written will and what to include in a will ?

I am a 22 year old single mom of my 4 year old daughter. Her father is not involved what so ever. He doesn't see her, support her, nothing. I have been meaning to make a will for the past 4 years but I haven't gotten around to it. If I ped away, I would like my parents to get custody of her. My parents agree to take over responsibility if I p away. And can I make a hand written will or should I go see a notary or my lawyer. I just want to make sure that she never ends up with her dad if I die. He has never seen her and has wished things that are so beyond comprehension that her being with him or his family is not an option. And what should I include in my will. I have a savings account for my daughter with almost 10 000 $ .. So how do I make sure she gets that money.
